Lacrysil Colored Acrylic Sealant is a water-based acrylic sealant specially produced in wood colors (pine, oak, wenge, walnut, and other shades) to make joints as invisible as possible.
Main Areas of Application
This sealant is intended for interior and exterior work (weather-resistant after drying), but it performs best indoors. The main usage scenarios are:
Sealing joints, connections, cracks, and gaps in wooden structures:
Between logs / timber in wooden houses, bathhouses, gazebos
In paneling, block house, imitation timber
Between floorboards, parquet, skirting boards
In door frames, window frames (wooden), stairs, railings
Sealing joints between wood and other materials:
Wood + brick / stone / concrete
Wood + drywall
Wood + metal (except highly corrosive surfaces)
Wood + PVC profiles
Filling cracks, knots, chips, mechanical damage on wooden surfaces (paneling, furniture, decorative elements) — before painting or varnishing
Sealing low-movement joints in interiors:
Skirting board abutments to walls/floors
Joints of window reveals, window sills
Gaps around electrical sockets, switches (if wooden trim is present)
Aesthetic sealing of joints where an invisible result is important — wood colors make the seam practically invisible.
Advantages of the Colored Version
Seams blend with the wood → aesthetic appearance, no need to additionally paint the sealant
Excellent adhesion to porous surfaces (wood, brick, concrete, plaster)
After drying — elastic, does not crack with slight movement
Can be painted over with acrylic paints / varnishes
Odorless, eco-friendly, easy to apply and smooth
Limitations and Where NOT to Use
Not suitable for constantly wet areas (shower, bathroom, swimming pool, aquarium) — sanitary silicone sealant is required for these
Not for highly deformable / moving joints (e.g., expansion joints in concrete, joints in metal structures with significant vibration)
Not for exterior joints with constant direct water contact (polyurethane or MS polymer sealants are better)
Does not bond strongly (this is a sealant with moderate adhesion, not a construction adhesive)
