Advantages:
Versatility: for interior and exterior work
High adhesion and elasticity of the joint
Easily paintable after drying
Water-resistant, does not sag from vertical surfaces
Economical and easy to apply
Applications:
Sealing joints, cracks, connections: window frames, door openings, skirting boards, window sills, insulated glass units, walls, ceilings, mineral substrates, wood, PVC panels; filling joints in thermal insulation systems; sealing in construction, renovation of apartments, houses, offices.
Application method: Clean surfaces from dust/grease/old material, degrease, apply evenly from the tube into the joint (use a caulking gun), smooth with a wet finger/spatula with soap. Lacrysil "Universal" Acrylic Sealant is designed for sealing, filling, and caulking joints, cracks, and gaps in construction, renovation, and interior finishing. It forms an elastic, water-resistant, paintable joint that is resistant to weather conditions, making it suitable for both interior and exterior work.
Recommended Applications:
Window and door openings (sealing joints between the frame and the wall)
Window sills, thresholds, skirting boards, moldings
Joints between walls, ceilings, floors
Joints in thermal insulation systems (filling around polyurethane foam)
Sealing connections between different materials (wood-wall, plastic-concrete, metal-plaster)
Filling cracks and gaps in walls, ceilings, facades
Sealing openings around pipes, cables, ventilation ducts
Sealing joints in dry and moderately humid rooms (living rooms, hallways, kitchens without constant water contact)
Exterior work: joints around windows/doors, under roofing, on facades (provided they are protected from direct, prolonged water exposure)
Suitable for these surfaces:
Concrete, brick, aerated block, foam concrete
Cement and gypsum plasters, screeds
Wood, chipboard, OSB, plywood
Metal (aluminum, steel, galvanized)
PVC, plastic panels
Drywall, glass, ceramics
Old paint, wallpaper (after priming)
Not Recommended For:
Joints with constant water immersion or high water pressure (swimming pools, shower enclosures, bathtubs — use sanitary silicone or MS polymer sealant instead)
Aquariums or potable water tanks
Surfaces constantly submerged in water
Joints subject to heavy mechanical loads or constant friction
Important Recommendations Before Application:
Surfaces must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, old sealant, soap, or detergents
It is recommended to degrease with alcohol or acetone (especially metal, plastic, glass)
For better adhesion on porous surfaces (concrete, plaster, brick) — pre-prime with a deep-penetration acrylic primer
Do not apply to damp or very wet surfaces
Avoid application during rain or high humidity (for exterior work, choose dry weather)
Typical Usage Examples:
Sealing the joint between a window frame and the wall (inside and outside)
Sealing connections of window sills with the wall
Filling gaps between skirting boards and walls/floors
Sealing joints around door frames
Filling cracks in plaster or joints between panels
Sealing openings around heating pipes, plumbing, cables
Sealing joints in thermal insulation systems after foam filling
After full curing (24–72 hours depending on layer thickness and humidity), the joint can be painted with acrylic, latex, or water-based paints.
Lacrysil "Universal" Acrylic Sealant — a simple, reliable, and economical choice for most joints in renovation and construction. Holds strong, seals elastically, and is easy to paint!
