Lacrysil "Universal" Silicone Sealant (acid cure/acetoxy type) is designed for sealing and caulking joints, connections, and cracks in construction, renovation, and everyday use. It forms a highly elastic (up to 250% movement capacity), waterproof, weather-resistant, and UV-resistant joint, resistant to temperature fluctuations and moisture.

Recommended Applications:

• Window and door frames (external and internal joints)

• Insulated glass units, glass structures, mirrors

• Window sills, thresholds, skirting boards, moldings

• Joints between walls, floors, ceilings

• Sealing around pipes, cables, ventilation ducts

• Sealing joints in dry and moderately humid rooms (living rooms, kitchens, hallways)

• Exterior work: joints around windows/doors, roof abutments, facade elements (provided they are protected from constant UV and precipitation)

• Automotive repairs (sealing joints, glass, body elements)

• Minor repairs of furniture, plumbing, decorative elements

• Sealing connections between different materials (glass-metal, plastic-concrete, wood-plaster)

• Aquariums or potable water tanks

• Surfaces constantly submerged in water

• Joints subject to heavy mechanical loads or constant friction

• Food contact surfaces or areas with direct food exposure

• Joints requiring painting (silicone is not paintable after curing — use acrylic sealant for paintable joints)

Important Recommendations Before Application:

• Surfaces must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, old sealant, or detergents

• It is recommended to degrease with alcohol or acetone (especially glass, metal, plastic)

• Do not apply to damp or wet surfaces

• Avoid application during high humidity or rain

• Has a characteristic vinegar odor during application (acid cure type) — work in a ventilated area

• Odor disappears after curing; the joint becomes completely safe

After full curing (24–48 hours depending on layer thickness and humidity), the joint becomes waterproof and resistant to weather conditions. The joint is not paintable after curing.
