Here is the translation of the technical data sheet for the Lacrysil 7in1 Acrylic Primer-Enamel:
Lacrysil 7in1 Acrylic Primer-Enamel
Acrylic paint-primer "7 in 1" (silky-matte, white with high whiteness). Anti-corrosion, moisture-resistant, washable, UV-resistant, flexible.
Intended Use
Protection and decoration of metal surfaces: heating radiators, metal structures of ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Anti-corrosion protection of metal against rust.
Priming + topcoat in one layer (can be applied in multiple coats).
Interior and exterior works (protected from direct rain/sun).
Can be tinted to pastel shades.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, oil, rust, and peeling old paint.
Remove rust mechanically (wire brush, sanding) or with a rust converter.
Degrease oily surfaces with a solvent (acetone, white spirit).
Remove weak or old coatings completely.
For better adhesion, lightly sand the metal.
Application temperature: from +5 °C to +30 °C (optimal +15…+25 °C), humidity <70–80%.
Application
Stir the enamel thoroughly before use (until homogeneous).
Apply with a brush, roller (with short nap), or spray (airless/air-assisted).
Number of coats: 1–2 (for anti-corrosion protection — minimum 2 coats with a break between them).
Time between coats: 2–4 hours (depends on temperature).
Thinning: if necessary, with water up to 5–10% (for spraying).
Coverage: 100–200 g/m² per coat (depends on absorbency and application method; approximately 8–12 m²/kg).
Drying Time (at +20 °C, humidity 50–60%)
Touch dry — 1–2 hours
Between coats — 2–4 hours
Fully dry (ready for use) — 24 hours
Full hardness and resistance — 7 days
Tool Cleaning
Fresh enamel — warm water with soap.
Dried enamel — mechanically (scraper) or with solvents for acrylic paints.
Important Warnings
Do not apply to surfaces with constant contact with pressurized water or in aggressive environments.
Not for use on food contact surfaces or aquariums.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes — rinse with water.
Work in a ventilated area.
Store at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C, do not freeze.
Coating service temperature: from -40 °C to +80 °C.
How to properly apply Polifarb (Lacrysil) 7-in-1 acrylic primer-enamel — a universal 7-in-1 coating for wood and metal (including rusty surfaces).
This is a ready-to-use water-based acrylic paint-primer that replaces several steps at once: priming, rust converter, anti-corrosion protection, antiseptic, enamel, and topcoat.
Surface Preparation (very important step!)
The surface must be dry, clean, free of dust, grease, oil, and peeling old paint.
Wood: remove resin (with solvent or alcohol), sand (especially glossy or old coatings), remove dust.
Metal: remove loose rust with a wire brush, degrease (white spirit, acetone, or alcohol). Dense rust can be left in place — the primer-enamel will convert it.
Old coatings (alkyd, oil-based, nitro): scuff with sandpaper, degrease, test adhesion with a trial application.
OSB, chipboard, plywood, MDF: it is recommended to prime first or perform a test application.
Do not apply to wet, heavily greasy, bituminous, plastic, or rubber surfaces (or perform a test).
Application — step by step
Thoroughly mix the primer-enamel in the can (using a drill with mixing attachment or by hand until completely uniform).
Do not dilute with water (the product is ready to use).
Apply with a brush, short-pile roller, or spray gun (air / airless).
Number of coats:
clean / new surfaces → 1–2 coats
rusty surfaces → always 2 coats
Apply the first coat evenly, without missing spots.
Apply the second coat after the “touch-dry” stage or after the recommended recoat time.
Drying time (at +20 °C and ~60% humidity)
Touch-dry → 1–2 hours
Recoat time → 2–4 hours
Full dry → 24 hours
Maximum hardness and durability → after 7 days
Consumption
120–180 g/m² per coat (depends on absorbency and surface roughness).
1 kg typically covers ≈ 6–8 m² in one coat.
Application conditions
Air and surface temperature: +8…+30 °C
Air humidity: not higher than 80%
Do not apply in direct sunlight, on hot surfaces, during rain, or if rain is expected within the next 4–6 hours.
Protect the fresh coating from dust and precipitation for at least 4–6 hours after application.
After work
Clean tools immediately with warm soapy water (while the paint is still wet).
Dried paint must be removed mechanically or with solvents.
Useful tips
Always apply 2 coats on rust — the first converts it, the second provides reliable protection.
Light colors (white, gray) usually require 2 coats for good coverage.
Once fully cured, the coating can be washed with a damp cloth and neutral detergents.
Suitable for interior and exterior use: fences, gates, doors, windows, gazebos, furniture, radiators, agricultural machinery, garages, greenhouses, etc.
Service temperature of the cured coating: from -50 to +100 °C.
If the surface is very porous or heavily rusted — do a test patch first. Happy painting!
