Lacrysil / Polifarb Adhesive for Cork and Bamboo
Ready-to-use acrylic adhesive for natural coverings (cork, bamboo, wood). Transparent joint after drying, eco-friendly, low odor, elastic.
Intended Use
Bonding of:
Rolled cork flooring, cork tiles, cork panels;
Bamboo parquet, bamboo panels, planks;
Other natural coverings (jute fabrics, some types of heavy wallpaper, wooden elements);
Onto walls and floors (horizontal, vertical, inclined surfaces).
Onto absorbent substrates: concrete, cement screed, plaster, drywall, wood, chipboard, OSB, plywood (in dry and normal humidity rooms, with underfloor heating).
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, solid, free of dust, grease, oil, peeling old paint/adhesive, and mold.
Remove unevenness, degrease if necessary.
Prime highly absorbent or porous surfaces with an acrylic primer.
Application temperature: from +5 °C to +35 °C (optimal +15…+25 °C), humidity <65–70%.
Application
Stir the adhesive until homogeneous (remove seal, lid).
Apply evenly to the substrate (wall/floor, not to the material!) using a notched trowel (notch 1–4 mm or B3–B11 depending on the thickness of the covering and the substrate).
Allow open time: 10–20 minutes (until tacky, do not let a dry film form).
Bonding
Lay/attach the material immediately after the open time.
Press firmly and roll with a roller or pressing tool from the center to the edges (to expel air and excess adhesive).
For vertical surfaces (walls) — secure with masking tape or supports for 12–24 hours.
Adjustment possible within 10–15 minutes.
Avoid loading (walking, furniture) for 24 hours.
Drying Time (at +20 °C, humidity 50–60%)
Initial grab — 10–30 minutes
Walking / light load possible — after 24 hours
Full drying, water resistance, and maximum strength — 24–48 hours (up to 72 hours for thick layers).
Coverage
400–800 g/m² (depends on substrate absorbency, type of covering, and trowel; for thin rolled materials — closer to 400–500 g/m²).
Tool Cleaning
Fresh adhesive — warm water with soap.
Dried adhesive — mechanically (scraper, knife) or with solvents for acrylic materials.
Important Warnings
Do not use on constantly wet surfaces, underwater, or for exterior work without protection.
Not for PE, PP, Teflon, silicone, or some plastics.
Not for aquariums or food contact surfaces.
Avoid contact with skin/eyes — rinse with water.
Store at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C, do not freeze.
Joint service temperature: -40…+100 °C (suitable for underfloor heating).
Shelf life — 18 months.
