Description

Acrylic adhesive sealant "2 in 1" is a high-quality professional flexible adhesive sealant.

Two materials in one bead

Normally you bond the part with assembly adhesive and then seal the joint separately. Here one bead does both: it carries 800 kg/m² and seals at the same time, fewer materials in the detail, fewer places to fail, one tube instead of two.

Crystal clear

It dries clear rather than milky white, which decides the matter for an open joint: a basin against pale tile, a glass shelf, a worktop edge, skirting on a light floor.

Against draughts and damp

It stops air and moisture passing through cracks and joints: sealing the gap, not merely covering it.

Where it is used

Bonding and sealing building materials indoors and out; sealing cracks between dissimilar surfaces; fixing timber, metal, ceramics, PVC, plasterboard and glass to mineral substrates. Typical details: skirting, windows, basins.

A narrow temperature window

It must be applied at +18 to +22 °C: the narrowest range in the sealant line. On a cold balcony or an unheated site the bead will not reach strength.

Specs

Acrylic, clear, service -40 to +80 °C, 0.15 and 0.28 kg, 18-month shelf life, water clean-up, maximum joint depth 5 mm. Water-resistant, with raised adhesion to building materials.

How much you need

A 0.28 kg cartridge gives about 15 m of 4×4 mm bead; used as an adhesive, count bead length or spots instead.

  • 0.15 kg covers about 8 m;
  • 0.28 kg covers about 15 m: a room of skirting;
  • as a Ø3 mm adhesive bead: about 20 m;
  • Ø20 mm spots: about 1.5 m² of panelling.

Where a detail needs both bonding and sealing, one material covers both. That is the saving over buying two.

Application

Preparation

  • clean surfaces of dust, grease and old material;
  • degrease non-porous faces;
  • warm the room to +18–22 °C: this is not optional;
  • pack deep gaps to 5 mm.

As an adhesive

  • a Ø3 mm bead along the part, or Ø20 mm spots on a 150×150 mm grid;
  • press home and support heavy items for a few hours;
  • wipe squeeze-out at once.

As a sealant

  • gun an even, unbroken bead;
  • tool with soapy water;
  • pull the masking before it skins.

Afterwards

  • full cure 48 hours: do not load the joint sooner;
  • wash tools and splashes with water while fresh;
  • cap the tube, do not freeze; 18 months.

FAQ: adhesive or sealant, clarity, temperature

  • Versus an ordinary sealant?
    It is also an adhesive, rated 800 kg/m².

  • Versus the MS-polymer adhesive sealant?
    Base and price. MS polymer bonds non-porous pairs, lasts 50 years and takes paint, but costs more. This acrylic is clear and cheaper, for ordinary interior details.

  • Why +18–22 °C?
    That is its rated application range, narrower than the rest of the line.

  • Will the joint show on pale tile?
    No, it dries crystal clear.

  • When can it be loaded?
    After 48 hours.
