Description

Acrylic 7-in-1 primer-enamel for wood, metal and concrete is a water-dispersion satin matt coating that works as primer and topcoat at once, for interior and exterior work.

One enamel for three different substrates

Wood, metal and concrete normally call for different materials: timber needs elasticity, metal needs corrosion protection, concrete needs adhesion to a mineral base. Here one product covers all three, so a job with wooden railings, steel posts and a concrete plinth does not need three tins and a colour match between them.

Clear Color: white stays white

Yellowing is the usual failing of white enamels. Within a year or two a white door frame or windowsill turns cream, especially in shaded spots with no ultraviolet. Clear Color technology holds the colour, so years later the finish looks as it did on the day.

Odourless and fast

The formulation is waterborne with no sharp smell, so you can work in an occupied room. A coat dries in 30 minutes against a day for alkyd enamels, so a door or a sill gets two coats within the hour.

Seven functions and 12 years

The primer protects and levels the surface, the enamel provides the finish; no separate priming, and it goes straight over rust. The coating is weather- and UV-resistant with a declared protection of 12 years.

How to apply

Film thickness 0.25 mm. Tools wash with water straight after the job.

Preparing the surface

  • remove loose rust, scale and flaking old coating;
  • degrease the surface;
  • no primer needed: this is primer and topcoat in one.

Application

  • apply by brush, roller or spray;
  • film thickness 0.25 mm;
  • sand and dust off timber before painting;
  • dries in 30 minutes, so the next coat follows almost immediately.

After the job

  • rinse tools with water straight away: this is a water-dispersion paint;
  • store above freezing, do not let it freeze.

  • Really one enamel for wood, metal and concrete?
    Yes, the formulation covers all three. Preparation differs: metal is cleaned of rust, timber is sanded, concrete is dusted off.
