Acrylic primer concentrate 1:10 is a penetrating, consolidating acrylic primer.
A litre diluted 1:10 becomes eleven litres of working primer, so a 5 l can makes up to 55 l, enough for a house, carried and stored as one container instead of ten.
The maker specifies a different ratio for each job:
A stated property: it blocks the white salt bloom that comes through finishes on brick and concrete, the kind of fault that only appears after painting.
Unprimed render drinks the first coat unevenly and dries patchy. Priming levels the absorbency and noticeably reduces how much of the next material is needed.
Acrylic, white, applied at +5 to +35 °C, 1, 2 and 5 l, 18-month shelf life. Also used to consolidate decorative stone. Indoors and out.
Work out the volume of working primer you need, then divide by the dilution.
How much primer: about 0.1–0.15 l/m² per coat on ordinary render.
Friable substrates take 1:6 in two coats, roughly doubling the concentrate used.
