Description

Super Montage is a waterproof one-component acrylic construction adhesive for jobs ordinary liquid nails cannot take.

1500 kg/m²

Half again the 1000 kg/m² of a standard acrylic assembly adhesive. That margin matters for large-format ceramic tile and for anything mounted overhead.

Ceilings and heavy tile

High initial grab plus thixotropy keeps a piece from dropping while the joint cures; ultimate strength carries large tiles whose contact area cannot offset their weight.

Up to +100 °C

A wider service range than the rest of the acrylic line, which stops at +80 °C: useful near radiators, in boiler rooms and under dark cladding.

Substrates

Ceramics, timber and chipboard, OSB, plastic and PVC, artificial stone, gypsum, rigid foam, stone and primed metal onto concrete, brick, OSB, timber and metal. Indoors and out.

Conditions

Apply at +5 to +35 °C. White, 0.2 and 0.4 kg tubes, 18-month shelf life. Clean with water while fresh. Two non-porous faces will cure slowly.

How much you need

Consumption 0.25–0.5 kg/m² depending on method.

  • 0.2 kg: three or four large tiles, or several ceiling pieces;
  • 0.4 kg covers about 1 m² of heavy ceramics spotted, or 25 m of Ø3 mm bead.

For overhead work use Ø20 mm spots on a 150×150 mm grid: about 0.25 kg/m² and an even spread of weight.

Application

Preparation

  • level and clean the substrate;
  • prime porous or friable surfaces;
  • degrease and prime metal; dust off the back of tiles.

Application

  • heavy tile: Ø20 mm spots spread over the whole back, corners included;
  • ceiling items: spots plus a perimeter bead;
  • long pieces: a continuous Ø3 mm bead;
  • never glue the corners only.

Fixing

  • press firmly so the adhesive spreads;
  • support overhead work mechanically for at least 12 hours;
  • full load after 48 hours.

Afterwards

  • wash fresh splashes with water;
  • cap the tube;
  • do not freeze; 18-month shelf life.

FAQ: load, ceilings and temperature

  • How is it different from ordinary liquid nails?
    1500 kg/m² instead of 1000, and +100 °C instead of +80.

  • Tile on a ceiling?
    Yes. Spot the whole back and support mechanically for at least 12 hours.

  • Does it replace cement tile adhesive?
    No. Use cement or a dedicated tile adhesive for full floor and wall areas.

  • Near a radiator?
    Yes, the +100 °C range covers it.

  • How long to prop?
    12 hours overhead; full load at 48 hours.
