Lacrysil Household Adhesive Foam — All-Season Adhesive Foam for Quick Fixing (with Straw Applicator)

High-quality one-component polyurethane household adhesive foam (TM Lacrysil) — a universal 2-in-1 solution: powerful bonding + joint filling! Provides quick initial fixation (60 seconds), high adhesion, low secondary expansion, and stability for bonding materials without mechanical fasteners.

Key Features:

  • Base: Polyurethane (one-component, cures with air moisture)

  • Color: Light yellow / Beige

  • Type: Household (manual, with straw applicator)

  • Seasonality: All-season

  • Application temperature: from -10 °C to +35 °C (canister from +5 °C to +30 °C)

  • Service temperature: -60…+100 °C

  • Secondary expansion: 15–30%

  • Initial fixation / processing time: about 60 seconds (up to 5 min for cutting)

  • Full curing: 12–24 hours

  • Adhesion: High to expanded polystyrene, Styrofoam, concrete, brick, wood, metal, PVC, drywall, etc.

  • After curing: Strong fixation, low shrinkage, thermal and sound insulation, moisture resistance (not for permanent immersion)

  • Eco-friendliness: Low odor after drying

  • Shelf life: 18 months (at +5…+30 °C)

Advantages:

  • Quick fixation (60 seconds) — "liquid nails" + foam combined

  • Low secondary expansion — precise application, no deformation

  • High adhesion and bonding strength

  • All-season — application at sub-zero temperatures

  • Economical coverage, easy to use at home

Applications:
Quick bonding and fixing of: expanded polystyrene, Styrofoam, panels, skirting boards, thresholds, moldings, window sills, decorative elements; installation of windows/doors (partial filling); filling gaps with simultaneous fixation; thermal and sound insulation of joints. Suitable for interior and exterior household use (ideal for insulation and mounting lightweight structures).

Application method: Shake the can 20–30 times, moisten the surface with water, turn the can upside down, apply in strips/dots to the material or substrate, press together (fixation 60 sec – 2 min), do not load immediately. Trim excess after 15–60 min. Full curing — 12–24 hours. Wear gloves, ventilate the area.

Lacrysil Household Adhesive Foam (with straw applicator, all-season) is designed for quick fixing, bonding, and partial filling of joints in household repairs. It combines the properties of an adhesive and polyurethane foam: high initial tack (fixation in 60–120 seconds), low secondary expansion (15–30%), excellent adhesion, and stability after curing. It is an ideal solution for jobs requiring strong fixation without additional fasteners.

Recommended Applications:

  • Bonding thermal insulation boards (expanded polystyrene, Styrofoam, extruded polystyrene, mineral wool) to walls, facades, floors

  • Fixing sheets of drywall, panels, OSB, chipboard, plywood to walls and ceilings

  • Installation of window sills, thresholds, skirting boards, moldings, decorative panels

  • Bonding carpet, linoleum, vinyl flooring (in small areas or as a fixative)

  • Fixing lightweight structures, shelves, shelving units, decorative elements

  • Filling small gaps and cavities while simultaneously fixing materials

  • Insulation and fixing on balconies, loggias, garages, utility rooms

  • Minor repairs: bonding skirting boards, thresholds, corner profiles, decorative boards

  • Work with underfloor heating (fixing materials before pouring screed)

Suitable for these surfaces:

  • Concrete, brick, aerated block, foam concrete

  • Cement and gypsum plasters, screeds

  • Wood, chipboard, OSB, plywood

  • Drywall, gypsum fiber board

  • Metal (aluminum, steel)

  • PVC, plastic panels

  • Old tiles, porcelain stoneware (as a substrate)

  • Expanded polystyrene, Styrofoam, mineral wool (to each other and to the substrate)

Not Recommended For:

  • Filling large cavities (use regular polyurethane foam instead)

  • Constant contact with water or in aggressive environments (not for waterproofing)

  • Heavy structures without additional fixation (load more than 50–70 kg per element — use mechanical fasteners)

  • Surfaces constantly submerged in water

  • Food contact surfaces or areas with direct food exposure

  • Areas with temperatures above +100 °C after curing

Important Recommendations Before Application:

  • Surfaces must be clean, dry or slightly damp, free of dust, grease, old foam

  • It is recommended to moisten the surface with water (for better curing and adhesion)

  • Shake the can 20–30 times

  • Turn the can upside down during application

  • Apply in strips or dots to the material or substrate (do not fill the joint completely — due to expansion)

  • Press the material for 60–120 seconds for fixation

  • Do not load immediately — allow to cure for 12–24 hours

  • Wear gloves, goggles, and work in a ventilated area

  • Trim excess foam with a knife after 15–60 minutes (after skin formation)

Typical Usage Examples:

  • Bonding Styrofoam or expanded polystyrene to a wall before plastering

  • Fixing a window sill without additional fasteners

  • Installing skirting boards or decorative panels

  • Fixing drywall to a ceiling or wall (for small areas)

  • Bonding thresholds or carpet in small areas

  • Insulating a balcony or loggia (fixing insulation)

  • Minor repairs: bonding decorative elements, shelves, moldings

After full curing (12–24 hours), the adhesive foam can be cut, sanded, plastered, or painted. It has good thermal and sound insulation properties and is non-conductive.
