Description

Ultra Lip is a ready-to-use one-component acrylic adhesive for floor coverings.

Underfloor heating

The joint survives repeated heating and cooling without embrittling, and the -40 to +100 °C range covers any wet or electric circuit.

2000 kg/m²

Twice the base assembly adhesive. A floor takes point loads every day: furniture feet, chair castors, heels.

What it bonds

Domestic vinyl including unbacked, foam- and felt-backed, carpet and cork, parquet, LVT, polyester-backed rugs, chipboard, hardboard and plywood onto concrete, cement screed, timber, aerated concrete, chipboard, hardboard and OSB.

Indoors and out

The maker also allows exterior work: terraces and covered porches. Beige, so seams show less on light coverings than a white adhesive.

Conditions

Apply at +5 to +35 °C on a dry screed. 0.2–0.25 kg/m² spread solid, full cure 24–48 hours. 1.2, 3, 6 and 12 kg, 18-month shelf life, water clean-up.

How much you need

0.2–0.25 kg/m² spread solid with a notched trowel: the most economical floor adhesive in the range.

  • 1.2 kg covers about 5 m²;
  • 3 kg covers about 13 m²: a 3.5×3.5 m room;
  • 6 kg covers about 26 m²;
  • 12 kg covers about 53 m²: a whole flat.

Rough or porous screeds use more: prime them first.

Application

Preparation

  • the screed must be dry, flat, crack-free and dust-free;
  • prime weak or friable bases;
  • unroll the covering indoors a day before laying;
  • switch underfloor heating off a day before and leave it off for three days after.

Application

  • stir and spread solid with a notched trowel;
  • match the notch to the covering;
  • work in areas you can cover in time.

Laying

  • roll from the centre outwards with a heavy roller;
  • press seams and perimeter especially;
  • keep off the fresh floor.

Afterwards

  • full load after 24–48 hours;
  • wash tools and splashes with water;
  • do not freeze; 18 months.
